Municipal Licensing Information for Holistic Health Practitioners

Several municipalities in Ontario are now requiring that Holistic Practitioners be licensed. For most municipalities, and recommended by the TTNO, the minimum requirement to be licensed as a practitioner of Therapeutic Touch™ is Recognized Practitioner status.

If you are interested in joining The Therapeutic Touch Network of Ontario solely to gain a Holistic License, the process of becoming a Recognized Practitioner takes about two years.

A partial list of the requirements for Recognized Practitioner status is:

  • Be a member in good standing of the TTNO
  • Have completed at least seven approved workshops in Therapeutic Touch taught by a TTNO Recognized Teacher – minimum 56 hours
  • Have completed the Practitioner Workbook with 72 case studies, which are submitted for approval
  • Maintain Recognized Practitioner status yearly through further studies
