About Professional Development Days
Professional Development Days are a wonderful opportunity to share new learning and experiences, to review and affirm what we already know and to share joyful and meaningful interactions on a topic of interest and relevance to all TT practitioners. They provide an opportunity to connect with friends, meet new members of our Therapeutic Touch community, learn new ideas and skills both for our inner growth and to enhance our practice of TT, and to have fun together.
Professional Development Days are open to all Therapeutic Touch practitioners – that is, anyone who has taken a Level One workshop. Taught as designed, the Professional Development Day fulfills the educational requirement for maintaining status as a Recognized Practitioner with the TTNO. The Professional Development Day may also count for a maximum of eight hours of the additional hours of continued studies for achieving Recognized Practitioner status.
Some comments from the 2025 Professional Development Day
The best part of the day was all the opportunities for dialogue in small groups and large groups.
I will reflect on how to enhance my practice by integrating holding space when giving sessions and for being a much more effective listener.
The concept of "holding space" is familiar to me however the day yesterday filled the action of "holding space" with new words and ideas.
A great mix of listening, engagement, and open discussion.
A well thought out day. I loved the way you used Heather's image of the bowl - simplifying it and having the participants decide what they wanted to add to their bowl. It became a powerful tool for them to use during the practicum.
Really enjoyed the qigong and will start doing this at the start of my day. The choice of meditations was great. I especially liked the meditation in the afternoon.
The whole day was inviting and informative.
Pausing is important, it helps to get one grounded.
