Therapeutic Touch Works
Common Effects of Therapeutic Touch
Over thirty doctoral & post doctoral dissertations as well as master theses have been presented on Therapeutic Touch®.
In early 1994, Therapeutic Touch was the recipient of a research grant awarded to alternative therapies by the United States National Institute of Health, Washington, D.C.
Research and clinical experience have shown its effectiveness in:
- promoting a relaxation response
- reducing anxiety & stress
- managing pain
- improving sleep
- facilitating the body's natural healing process
- fostering a sense of well-being
Considerations: Therapeutic Touch is a process that is always individualized and usually does not exceed 40 minutes. The recipient remains fully clothed.
