Heather Grace Gurd came to Therapeutic Touch® in 1993 and became a Recognized Practitioner and Recognized Teacher shortly after. For 25 years she taught, volunteered, attended yearly Therapeutic Touch conferences and retreats, and made Therapeutic Touch available from her home, three different local clinics, and was the company healer for Prolift.
She retired in 2019 but is now coming out of retirement to teach “The Touch of Therapeutic Touch” a credited Therapeutic Touch Network of Ontario Continuing Education course. It was first developed for and presented at the 2024 Therapeutic Touch Network of Ontario conference. Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Waterloo and a Business Diploma from Wilfred Laurier University.
She had a Near Death Experience (NDE*) as a young child. It left her with spiritual gifts and physical challenges. This along with her deep love for people and their cultures, mythologies, study and travel have shaped her life.
Finding Therapeutic Touch was profound. Not only did it facilitate recovery from “the near impossible” but was also foundationally responsible for the 2 major “Spiritually Transformative Experiences” (STE*) through which she developed two original paradigms: The Pyramid of True Relationship and The Way of Love Meditation, both of which are introduced in Heather’s course: The Touch of Therapeutic Touch.

* STE and NDE are terms that were developed and defined by Ontario MD Dr. Yvonne Kasson in the 1900’s. Founder of Spiritual Awakenings Toronto and International. https://dryvonnekason.com/spiritually-transformative-experiences/
