Maureen Smith, RN (non-practising class) took her first Level 1 Therapeutic Touch® workshop in 1999. In 2001, she became a Recognized Practitioner. She continues to be fascinated by Therapeutic Touch and feels privileged to have found this very special energy modality. She was one of the original members of the Toronto East General Hospital Therapeutic Touch team, treating clients in all areas of the hospital, most particularly ICU, CCU, ER, O.R., Recovery and Palliative Care. Over the years, she has also offered Therapeutic Touch to animals, large and small and continues to learn from their open response. As of October 31, 2013 she permanently relocated to Georgian Bluffs (Grey Bruce Peninsula area) and is looking forward to offering Therapeutic Touch privately and as a hospice volunteer. This year, 2014, she has begun the process of becoming a TTNO Recognzied Teacher. Maureen leads a Therapeutic Touch Practice Group that meets the 2nd Sunday of the month, from 2-4 pm.
