Paula was first introduced to Therapeutic Touch in 2002. Pain (her own) and a desire to help others are what drew her to this gentle energy healing modality. After reducing her pain through Therapeutic Touch and self-care, she decided to learn more. In 2010 Paula became a Recognized Practitioner, and since that time has become a Recognized Therapeutic Touch Teacher of all three levels. Not everyone, who learns Therapeutic Touch, will become a practitioner, but everyone can benefit from learning how to use TT for self-care and improved well-being. Paula is committed to teaching Therapeutic Touch for Self-Care, and has taught it for the past two years to seniors at the Better Living Health and Community Centre in Don Mills on an ongoing basis as part of a Falls Prevention program. She has also taught all three Therapeutic Touch levels to volunteers and staff at Better Living Health and Community Services both in Toronto and in Newmarket at the Margaret Bahen Hospice. In 2014, Paula gained experience giving TT sessions to long-term care residents when she worked part-time at Fieldstone Commons in Toronto for almost two years. She now leads two Therapeutic Touch clinics at Better Living Toronto locations. Over the years, she has witnessed how Therapeutic Touch brings comfort and healing to those in long-term care and those who are suffering or ill. Therapeutic Touch supports a healee at all levels of their being - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. It also has a profound effect on the practitioner ("giver"), and is a skill which can be easily learned. Paula teaches Therapeutic Touch Levels 1, 2 and 3 in Toronto.
