Your Member Benefits

General Members

The TTNO was established to teach and support those who wished to learn and practice Therapeutic Touch. So there are many benefits to those who join this organization. Your name and contact information is listed in our directory and we send you a personal Membership Card, confirming your membership. You have voting rights at the Annual General Meeting, reduced rates to all TTNO activities and begin receiving inTouch, their quarterly newsletter. And of course, you’ll have access to the Members Only section of this website.

Recognized Practitioners

Once you’ve completed requirements to become a Recognized Practitioner with the TTNO many avenues for various activities are open for you. You may facilitate a Practice Day, supervise a Workbook Practitioner, become a Workbook mentor or a member of a Board Committee. You might choose to share your knowledge of Therapeutic Touch by teaching it as a Self-Care Modality in your church, synagogue, book club or any organization you’re involved with. If you like speaking in public about Therapeutic Touch you may offer to do so in various locations. The TTNO has a Tool Kit to help you with your presentation.  And you’re also invited to belong to the Teachers Collective and attend their regional meetings.

Recognized Teachers

Recognized Teachers are extremely important to the TTNO. It is mainly through your teaching that the continuation of this modality can be ensured. As a Teacher you receive the TTNO Curriculum and Guidelines for Teaching Therapeutic Touch, Teacher Handouts, up-dates when they are written and, when requested, a hard copy of our Newsletter. You are encouraged to belong to the Teachers Collective and to attend their regional meetings

To help you, the TTNO promotes your workshops in their newsletter, and lists your contact information in a special column in that newsletter as well as on their website. All TTNO activities are open to you - serving on various committees, facilitating a Professional Development Day, supervising a Workbook Practitioner or being a workbook Mentor or perhaps mentoring a Student Teacher. Serving on the Board is a creative and exciting way to be involved with the TTNO and with the growth of Therapeutic Touch.
