This marks our 10th year at Guelph General Hospital, excluding the pandemic years. We have continued to serve this community for their Nurses' Week celebrations. Many familiar faces are happy to see us return, and take an opportunity to indulge in a 'little' self-care. Here is some of what we heard this year.
- I came last year
- I need to understand what this is
- I have never felt this relaxed
- I don't know how to describe it
As a side note, for those looking to engage with their local hospital, October is 'Healthy Workplace Month.' They are often looking for partners to support their staff. Giving Therapeutic Touch following their flu shots is a relatively supportive role. Simply reach out to the Occupational (or Employee) Health office to find an opportunity.
