Membership in the Teachers Collective is open to all Recognized Teachers and Recognized Practitioners of Therapeutic Touch®.
The MISSION of the Teachers Collective is to provide continuing education, foster networking, dialogue, and offer peer support to all Therapeutic Touch Recognized Teachers and Recognized Practitioners.
The Collective promotes Therapeutic Touch at large, and provides regular updates on current issues of the TTNO Board of Directors and changes to TTNO policy and curriculum.
The Collective nurtures and supports the mentoring of new teachers.
The VISION of the Teachers Collective is to promote high standards of competency and integrity in teaching as established by the Board and included in the TTNO Curriculum and Guidelines for Teaching Therapeutic Touch.
We welcome and encourage Recognized Practitioners to participate in the Teachers Collective to build their enthusiasm to want to teach.
We promote the practice of Therapeutic Touch by communicating a consistent message through presentations within the community with a vision to see TT widely recognized and practised in Ontario.
STATEMENT OF VALUES: Therapeutic Touch teachers believe in the intrinsic worth and dignity of each individual and are dedicated to the values of acceptance, self-determination, and respect for individuality.
The development of good teaching skills and the discussion of issues relevant to teaching and promoting Therapeutic Touch as well as supporting all TT practitioners in their personal TT journeys is encouraged.
Annual Teachers Days and Regional Teachers Collective meetings are held to enhance this development, provide support to each other, and to discuss teaching concepts and the promotion of Therapeutic Touch.
The agenda for Teachers Collective meetings is to be submitted to and approved by the Teacher Liaison Committee.

Regional Teachers Days
The Therapeutic Touch Network of Ontario provides opportunities for all members of the Teachers Collective to get together at specific teacher-related events called Teachers Days, scheduled at different times of the year. Regional Teachers Collective meetings are held according to the needs of the specific community to discuss teaching concepts among peers while following an agenda that has been submitted and approved by the Teachers Liaison Committee.
These days are organized by Recognized Teachers for members of the Teachers Collective in their area and are approved for Maintaining Recognized Practitioner or Recognized Teacher status.
Both regional Teachers Days are usually held in March and there may be additional Teachers Days scheduled. Go to the Workshop & Events Calendar to find out when and where the next Regional Teachers Day will be held. Type "Teachers Day" in the search pane.
