Services are provided through its three offices in the Flemingdon and Thorncliffe Park areas of East York. The TTNO Brampton Branch Gets the Word Out
Four members of the TTNO Brampton Branch participated in the Humber Hospital Wellness Day Fair on April 25th. This expert Therapeutic Touch team's demonstration of TT with free 10 minute treatments generated so much interest there they were then asked to return to the Nursing Week Fair on May 12th. During both these days there was a flurry of interest and activity. They were told it was the favorite booth. The Huntington Society of Canada Learns About Therapeutic Touch
The Whitby TTNO Branch has developed a community partnership with the Huntington Society of Canada Durham Region Group through presentations at their support group and offering TT sessions at the Durham Region Walk to Cure Huntington Disease. Huntington Disease (HD) is a genetic neurological disorder which affects an individual’s emotional, cognitive and physical status. Currently this progressive disease is incurable. Guelph Wellness Fair
The three Guelph Branches participated in the annual Transformational Wellness Fair in Guelph on April 29th, 2017. There were over 25 holistic practitioners participating and we felt very privileged to be among them. It was a very well attended successful event. We had the opportunity of providing about 27 Therapeutic Touch Sessions throughout the day and introducing the community to Therapeutic Touch.

Therapeutic Touch at the Al Green Art Studio
On March 28 Crystal Hawk gave a talk on “TT for Self-Care” to the Al Green Sculpture Studio where she had been a member for 15 years. This was an early CARE150 Therapeutic Touch Awareness week event since she will be in Vancouver presenting at the BC TT Network Conference during that week. Eighteen members attended including several retired medical personnel, a doctor, a dentist and two nurses. Each of those attending received a 6-page information TT book explaining the modality. On Monday, March 6, Alison Cooke, RT, presented the first of a four part series on Self-Care with Therapeutic Touch to a group of caregivers with the Heart of Hastings Hospice. On Feb. 22, 2017 The Whitby TTNO Branch gave a presentation to about 15 members of the Huntington Society of Canada- Durham Support Group. Four members of the Whitby Branch attended. Our presentation included a brief introduction to Therapeutic Touch through the KoKreative DVD and a discussion focussing on its role in integrative medicine. Afterward a demonstration was given with short Therapeutic Touch sessions offered to all interested participants. “After the treatments many people said they felt more calm, relaxed and happier. Therapeutic Touch at Carea Community Care Centre in Oshawa
The Whitby branch visited the Wellness and Parents Group at the Oshawa location of Carea Community Health Centre on Thursday February 2. The majority of women had attended one of our previous presentations so only a brief talk was needed. A guided meditation was followed by Therapeutic Touch sessions for each of the women. The women felt grateful to be heard, listened to, and taken care of. Two women felt improvement with headaches. One woman with anxiety felt relaxed and comforted after her session.

Pine Meadows Retirement Community Learns about Therapeutic Touch
On November 16, 2016, the TTNO Guelph Branch gave a presentation about Therapeutic Touch (TT) to the Pine Meadows Retirement Community in Belwood, Ontario. Residents learned about the benefits of Therapeutic Touch. Elizabeth Rock, a long time TT practitioner, and her husband, gave testimony about the benefits of TT. Elizabeth, who now lives in the Pine Meadows Retirement Community, gave Therapeutic Touch to both humans and horses for many years! Renfrew High School Students Learn About Therapeutic Touch
The students of Saint Joseph High School’s Grade 11 Health Care class in Renfrew had an opportunity to learn about a complementary therapy when Recognized Teacher, Pat Tamosetis, introduced them to Therapeutic Touch®. Students learned about the background of TT, the effects of TT, and how TT can help for stress management. After participating in a short session, several students remarked on the positive experience and expressed interest in learning more.
