St. Joseph’s Hospital, Thunder Bay – May 12, 2026

We had a great day on Tuesday, May 12, 2026! We offered 15-minute Therapeutic Touch sessions to staff at St. Joseph's Hospital. It is our rehab, palliative and transition hospital. We partnered with the SJCG Wellness & Recognition Committee. They did the advertising and recruited staff. It was interesting to note staff often came as a department. Every session was full! Our 5 practitioners were busy! We had people from departments as diverse as finance, food service and maintenance. Twenty-five staff members left feeling relaxed and well cared for. St. Joseph's Hospital was a new partner for us. Submitted by

Guelph General Hospital – May 13, 2026

This marks our 10th year at Guelph General Hospital, excluding the pandemic years.  We have continued to serve this community for their Nurses' Week celebrations.  Many familiar faces are happy to see us return, and take an opportunity to indulge in a 'little' self-care.  Here is some of what we heard this year. TT Sessions at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre

On March 8 the TTNO Thunder Bay Branch got a head start on TT Awareness Week. Branch members were grateful to provide 17 employees with Therapeutic Touch sessions.  All attending were pleased with their sessions and felt very relaxed after receiving  TT.  One staff member was going back to her station in mammography with TTNO pamphlets to place in the waiting room for patients.  We’ll continue to slowly step towards a partnership, although very aware of the crazy busy environment. We’ll take things as they come and embrace every opportunity that comes our way! Photos at "Read More"

TT Level 1 in Elora

Meet our latest TTNO (Introductory) members. On March 5, 2022, with relaxing COVID protocols, eight enthusiastic people met in the home of Deb Gould to learn Level 1 Therapeutic Touch. As you can see,  masks and hand hygiene were incorporated into the day. They will continue on to Level 2 and then take a Foundations Tune-Up to catch up to the new curriculum. You can tell from the smiling 'eyes' that they had a great day. So nice to see in person classes taking place again!

Caledon Spring Fling

To get into the spirit of the TTNO Spring Fling, members of the Caledon branch who were able joined a meditation/drumming circle taking place in the community in honour of the spring equinox. The event was initially organized to raise funds for Bethell Hospice and the drumming was being led by TT member Dale Cimolai. We joined in. It proved to be a wonderful evening for reflective meditation, raising awareness of the power of vibration and community building. In the discussion afterward it turned out several participants had learned TT in the past and they expressed an interest in joining
