TT at Guelph General Hospital for Healthy Workplace Month

On October 8, five TTNO volunteers offered Therapeutic Touch mini-sessions to 12 staff members over the lunch hour at Guelph General Hospital as part of Healthy Workplace Month. It was coordinated through Employee Health as an opportunity for self-care.  Some staff were looking for help with sleep and rest while others just came to experience a session.  Many commented on how relaxed they felt.  There are plans in place to consider a similar event next year.

Holistic Healing Conference Comes to Toronto

On Friday October 4th, 2019 there is a book launch for Holistic Healing: Theories, Practices, and Social Change and supporting conference at the Ontario Institute of Education at the University of Toronto (252 Bloor Street West). Our Beloved Dee Has Crossed Over

We are saddened to announce that our beloved Dr. Dolores “Dee” Krieger, PhD, Professor Emerita, New York University Division of Nursing, age 97, crossed over on June 16, 2019 at her home outside Columbia Falls, Montana. Caledon Spring Fling

To get into the spirit of the TTNO Spring Fling, members of the Caledon branch who were able joined a meditation/drumming circle taking place in the community in honour of the spring equinox. The event was initially organized to raise funds for Bethell Hospice and the drumming was being led by TT member Dale Cimolai. We joined in. It proved to be a wonderful evening for reflective meditation, raising awareness of the power of vibration and community building. Therapeutic Touch in Mexico

Malia C. Ronderos has been on vacation in Mexico. While there, she met with the head of the Oncology Department at the Hospital de la Niñez Oaxaqueña in a small village near the capital city of Oaxaca. She offered to provide Therapeutic Touch to the nurses who are at the forefront of the cancer unit. Malia’s offer was welcomed as the need to provide support for the nurses is well-recognized.
